Siding and Stone samples

Jake & Donna have collected a number of sampels of siding and stone for our consideration.

Stone

siding which looks like stone

stone - same type of material as on the inside

stone - same type of material as on the inside

stone - comes individually so it would have mortar lines

stone - it comes in sections like this

stone - with individual stones, so it would have mortar lines

Please take a look at these and come prepared to talk about this on Sunday.  Financial details will be presented at the congregational meeting.

Renovation Project - Outside Material Information

On Sunday, October 17 after the church service, we had a congregational meeting where its was decided that information and pictures of the possible choices for outdoor materials regarding the renovation would be posted here.

Then we will have another congregational meeting on October 31 to discuss and decide on these options.

Ready for new siding/brick

Option 1 - Reside the church to match what we had before.
Here are pictures of the siding that we have on other areas of the church.

Hi there:

Here is our update.

Renovation Project - Day 5 Report

Well, it's FRIDAY!
Unbelievable all that has changed in the sanctuary this week.
It's 1:40 and I'm about to leave for a cruise!
The work crew left before noon today.
The holes are cut for the windows but not through to the outside.

That will happen on Tuesday.
Dave Brown is still puttering away.
Jake Fehr and Dave Koop and ? will work at running some  audio wire tomorrow morning (Saturday).
The building committee has been making lots of detailed decisions this week.
Please pray for our church as we try to keep up with all the changes, as we deal with the impact of worshiping in a different space on Sunday and as we work together to finish this project.
Jake Fehr has been here a great deal.
Donna has stopped by often.
Charlotte took these pictures at 11 something.
Bill Fehr dropped off the big mighty machine we are borrowing from UniFab to access the windows from the outside.

You know, it's fun to see how many of us are stopping in to take a peak at what is happening.
The workers appreciate the snacks that have been dropped by for them.
Wishing all of you a blessed and very Happy Thanksgiving.

Renovation Project - Day 2 Report

Dear Friends,

What a week we're having around here!

Sunday was a service of transition as we began worship in the sanctuary and ended in the basement.

A lot of preparations had happened ahead of time - storing banners, moving sound equipment, moving the organ, etc.

On Monday morning bright and early the tear down began.

With lots of willing helpers and some wise supervisors we got the job done and went for lunch by 12:00 noon.

Thanks to all who provided snacks from cinnamon buns to coffee.

Thanks to all who finalized plans.

Thanks to all who hauled materials away to the dump or for recycling.

Jim Founk and Jake Fehr were the on site managers.

Today, Jake Fehr was here to see things get off the ground.

Note:  Click on images for a larger version.

Jake is measuring twice.

The plumbers were here to cut out the old heating pipes by the choir loft and to re-route things for the new stage.

Dave Brown is overseeing the construction.

The new stage is already being built.

 The windows arrived.

The new windows have been delivered.

The old window was discovered.

Someone was here for another lighting quote regarding the lights in the sanctuary.

Brian Humphries was here to go over the lighting for the platform.

It's been a busy place here.

View of the front of the church.
Stop by any time to check out what's happening.

Please continue to pray for all those working on site and for the committee giving leadership.

May God bless you this day.
